ChrislamI had never heard of "Chrislam" till last month. The word, of course, is a combination of Christianity and Islam. While you might combine a word to describe something, the two concepts that are thus combined in this word are worlds apart. Pardon me, but WHO in Islam died for me? NOT Allah; NOT Mohammed; NOT Bin Laden; NOT, NOT, NOT!!" While there a few common things between Christianity and Islam - Abraham and others of the patriarchal line and a number of other things - there are so many fundamental differences that the two (as least when we are talking Christianity in its true form) could never be combined. Salvation by faith in a Saviour who died for me to pay the penalty for my sins so that I might be reconciled to a loving God is fundamental to Christianity, yet absent from Islam. Chrislam? Chrislamity? Not possible. I think Chrislam and Chrislamity will lead to calamity long before it will lead to anything good. Prophecy News - 2011 May
Chrislam
Chrislam Starts To Spread In America "You knew this day was going to come, when the liberal 'love gospel' preachers who, desiring to fill their seats and bank accounts, would find a way to merge apostate Christianity with . . . . "'. . .and unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.' Revelation 3:14-16." QURAN IN THE PEWS JESUS IN THE QURAN By Paul L. Williams, Ph.D. This weekend, the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston along with Christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit will initiate a series of sermons that have been designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam. In addition to the sermons, the Sunday school lessons will center on the inspired teachings of the Prophet Mohammad. Qurans will be placed in the pews next to the Bibles. The concept of Chrislam, now embraced by such preachers as Rick Warren and Robert Schuller, appears to have emerged from a program on the meaning of "love your neighbor" at Grace Fellowship Church in Atlanta, Georgia "In 2001, like most Americans, we were pretty awakened to the true Islamic presence in the world and in the United States," says Jon Stallsmith, the outreach minister at Grace Fellowship. "Jesus says we should love our neighbors. We can't do that without having a relationship with them." Stallsmith maintains that a rapprochement between Muslims and Christians can be achieved by the fact that Jesus is mentioned twenty-five times in the Quran. The Chrislam movement has gained impetus by statements from President George W. Bush and that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the same God and by Rick Warren's reference to Isa (the Muslim name for Jesus) in his prayer at the inauguration of President Barack Obama. He's Not the Son of God, Just the Support Act "CHRISTIANS in Sydney will have their core beliefs challenged by provocative advertisements due to appear on billboards and buses in the next month. "The ads, paid for by an Islamic group called MyPeace, will carry slogans such as 'Jesus: a prophet of Islam', 'Holy Quran: the final testament' and 'Muhammad: mercy to mankind'. A phone number urges people to call to receive a free Koran and other Islamic literature. "The organiser of MyPeace, Diaa Mohamed, said the campaign was intended to educate non-Muslims about Islam. He said Jesus was a prophet of Islam, who was to come before Muhammad. 'The only difference is we say he was a prophet of God, and they say he is God,' Mr. Mohamed said. 'Is it thought-provoking? Yes, it is. We want to raise awareness that Islam believes in Jesus Christ,' he said. "The Anglican Bishop of South Sydney, Rob Forsyth, said it was 'complete nonsense' to say Jesus was a prophet of Islam. 'Jesus was not the prophet of a religion that came into being 600 years later.'" [Hurrah for the Bishop!] Obama Adviser Compared U.S. Christians to al-Qaida JERUSALEM -- President Obama's faith adviser, Eboo Patel, compared al-Qaida to what he called Christian 'totalitarians' in the U.S. and Jewish 'totalitarians' in Israel, WND has learned. "In February 2010, Obama named Patel to his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships." Patel, a Muslim activist from Chicago . . ." Church Touts Homosexuality As a Gift, Not a Sin "That's the message that Central United Methodist Church is spreading throughout their community via a digital billboard, launched on Monday. "This 'simple statement,' the church announced, is 'intended to be a gift to those who have experienced hurt and discrimination because of their real or perceived sexual orientation.' "Central UMC wants to offer words and acts of healing to those hurt and marginalized," the website states. "Jeff Buchanan, the director of Exodus Church Equipping and Student Ministries, agrees that the Church must display love and compassion for those in the LGBT community. But he opposes the message that CUMC is sending through their "Being Gay is a Gift from God" campaign." Israeli Jets Prepare In Iraq to Strike Iran
"Israeli jet fighters have reportedly conducted drills at a military base in Iraq in order to strike targets inside Iran. "A considerable number of Israeli warplanes were seen at al-Asad base in Iraq, reported a source close to prominent Iraqi cleric Muqtada al-Sader's group. "The warplanes carried out their week-long exercises at nights, the same source added. "Iraqi officials had not been notified of the exercises, which were conducted in collaboration with the US military." NOAA Hurricane Outlook Indicates an Above-normal Atlantic Season "The Atlantic basin is expected to see an above-normal hurricane season this year, according to the seasonal outlook issued by NOAA's Climate Prediction Center -- a division of the National Weather Service. "Across the entire Atlantic Basin for the six-month season, which begins June 1, NOAA is predicting the following ranges this year:
Each of these ranges has a 70 percent likelihood, and indicate that activity will exceed the seasonal average of 11 named storms, six hurricanes and two major hurricanes." Atmosphere Above Japan Heated Rapidly Before M9 Earthquake "Geologists have long puzzled over anecdotal reports of strange atmospheric phenomena in the days before big earthquakes. But good data to back up these stories has been hard to come by. "In recent years, however, various teams have set up atmospheric monitoring stations in earthquake zones and a number of satellites are capable of sending back data about the state of the upper atmosphere and the ionosphere during an earthquake." Lehman Brothers Crisis: Just the Opening Act "In 2008, the failure of Lehman Brothers nearly collapsed the global financial system. To avert collapse, it required unprecedented global government bailouts, backstops and policy responses. "These efforts bought some time -- nearly two and a half years to date. But time hasn't healed the wounds. In fact, the government responses have done nothing to avoid the ultimate fallout, . . ." Summary "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
